Saehan Microtech Co., Ltd. was founded in October 1999 with the aim of contributing to the semiconductor industry, one of the key industries of the future. For the past 25 years, the company has been dedicated to the development and production of precision components. In its early years, Saehan Microtech successfully localized the production of Probe Pins, a core component of semiconductor testing equipment that had previously been entirely reliant on imports. This achievement not only resulted in import substitution but also enabled the company to manufacture and export these products independently. More recently, the company has expanded its business scope by introducing new products such as Rubber Sockets, MEMS Spring Probes, and MEMS Probes. These innovations allow Saehan Microtech to offer a broader range of solutions to customers while strengthening its competitiveness in the market.
From its inception, Saehan Microtech has focused on securing core ultra-precision processing technologies related to Probe Pins, despite challenging domestic and international conditions.To achieve this, the company has actively engaged in government-supported and independent research and development initiatives, successfully carrying out projects such as the ATC (Advanced Technology Center Program, Ministry of Knowledge Economy) and the Core Material & Component Development Program (Strategic Core Material Localization Project, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy). As a result of these efforts, Saehan Microtech has successfully internalized a wide range of advanced technologies, including Etching, Mechanical Auto Grinding, Photo Etching, Electro Forming, Precision Positioning, Machine Vision Inspection, and Precision Coating. Leveraging these internally developed ultra-precision processing technologies, the company has continuously developed and supplied key components for semiconductor testing equipment, LCD testing equipment, mobile device testing, display testing, and medical device testing to both domestic and international markets.
Saehan Microtech has not remained complacent despite being the No. 1 domestic manufacturer and supplier of ultra-precision components for semiconductor testing equipment. Instead, the company has actively expanded into overseas markets, aiming to gain global recognition for its competitive products by offering customized manufacturing solutions and fast delivery times. In 2005, Saehan Microtech established its U.S. subsidiary, PROPIN, followed by the founding of PROWAN in Taiwan in 2006-strategically located in a key hub for the semiconductor industry. In 2021, the company laid the foundation for global market expansion by establishing its Chinese subsidiary, PROSOL.In 2020, Saehan Microtech achieved a milestone of $10 million in exports, securing numerous global semiconductor companies as clients and proving the stability of its supply chain. With its extensive history and technological expertise, the company continues to maintain its position as the world's leading manufacturer of ultra-precision Probe components for semiconductor testing equipment.
